Today�s Weather: A rainy day, that happens to be a Monday, that�s working overtime to get me down

This is a love story�

but it�s not necessarily about love�

it�s more about those invisible lines that pull us through this universe to guide us on the path created for us eons before any of us were even born. In short, it�s about faith, destiny, and fate.

Lee is a guy that I work with. He is the guy that is currently holding my computer hostage until I can get the parts to get it all fixed and updated, and on Saturday, after we discussed the computer, we started to discuss life in general, at which time he told me the most beautiful story I ever heard.

Lee was in a bad relationship a little while ago, and during the deterioration of that relationship, he met Rosie on the internet. He wasn�t on a quest to find �the one�, but rather on a quest to find �someone� to talk to�to connect with through cyberspace as to ease the loneliness inside. They met and talked, and in what he claimed to be almost instantaneous, he was deeply attracted to her and fell into easy, exposing conversation with her, as did she with him. There�s nothing unusual about that, right?

Well, through the conversations, they each revealed these things that connect them in the spookiest ways. And these things they found out AFTER they already liked each other.

1)When Lee was younger, he had the Chinese emblem for �strength� tattooed on his throat with a chain around it to make it look like a necklace. When Rosie was a child, her father gave her an heirloom necklace that she always wears. It�s the sign for �strength�.

2)Lee has always been a freak for Asian culture�the food, the lifestyle�and especially Bruce and Brandon Lee. Brandon Lee is an idol of his. Rosie is Asian. She is related to the Lee family.

3)When things were really bad with her husband, Rosie sent out a �love call� to search for her one true love by using the spirit of the wolf. Lee�s favorite animal is the wolf. He has pictures of them all over his house and he has a tattoo of a wolf howling at the moon on his calf. I�ve seen it.

4)They met just as their respective relations ships were dwindling, and he helped her through a very trying divorce from her husband. Her youngest daughter adores Lee. They both love horror movies and the like�and she just happens to look like she could be his daughter. The daughter has told Lee that she feels more connected to him than she does her real father.

5)Lee has an Asian devil tattooed on his thigh that has, yup, you guessed it, roses all around it.

6)Lee is one tattoo freak. Rosie�s grandmother practices the ancient art of tattooing with bamboo sticks.

7)One night, Lee called her later than usual to talk to her. 10 minutes after she got off the phone, she smelled smoke. Her house was on fire. She was able to get her girls out of the house safely, but everything she owned burned to the ground. If she hadn�t been talking to him, she wouldn�t have heard the alarm in time and her family would have died.

These are just some of the things that Lee told me on Saturday. On Saturday, I had been sitting at my desk, damn near in tears over Swiz and being alone, and losing faith in destiny and finding that one person where everything just�comes together. He told me these things, and when he told me that he was ready to just sell all of his things to pay off his bills so he can go be with her, I gazed at him in awe with teary eyes.

Oh, did I mention that Rosie lives in Australia? Yeah, she lives half-way around the world, has come here to visit him a few times�once with her daughter, and due to complications with her oldest daughter, when she was coming back here for good, she had to stay there a bit longer. If her oldest daughter�s condition worsens, she won�t be able to come back. He misses her so much and wants to be with her so badly, that he wants to just sell EVERYTHING to pay off his debts so he can go and be with her forever.

Forever.

Lee, who�s name is the same as my brother�s middle name�who loves wolves just like my brother�who sees things in life just like I do�chose this time to reveal his heart to me, and I was so amazed that I cried all the way home while smiling like a lunatic.

He was meant to tell me that, just as Rosie was meant to meet him when she did and become the love of his life. See�connections. Destiny. Fate. Just when I was so disheartened that I was turning my back on my fairy dream of finding my true love, Lee came along and made everything right again. No one said it would be easy for me to find true love. Hell�no one ever said life would be easy. But to know that through everything they have been through and lives that they have lived separately across the globe�to know that these two people found each other and found love�gives me hope in abundance that I dare not even try to explain.

He told me not to give up on guys and love�that I never know what might happen, or who he might be or where he might be waiting for me. Without even knowing what I was thinking or what I was going through, he came to me and told me this.

You never know when the Fates will send you a sign.

Life never ceases to amaze me.

This was a love story�

and most definitely a story about finding true love�
