First Entry Today
Here is a poem I wrote a bit ago. It's one of my faves. I love the tempo.

~~~~~~~~~~K-I-N-E-T-I-C~~~~~~~~~~~
If I stay in motion
maybe I won't have the notion
to sit here and pine away for you...
to miss you so much.
In desperate need to have you here
frustrated and berated in shedding these tears
hoping for the impossible---
still daring to hold onto my dream.
Dreams of finding one like you...
if I can't have you,
at least I could have a facsimilie.
In the end I know it's groundless
and just a fanciful illusion,
because no one else can do
what you do to me.
Spoiled and soured for any other man
I fall in awe in between your verses.
My heart beats in the 2x2 time of your name,
pulse thumps from the kisses your lips disperse.
So maybe if I stay in motion
my heart will quiet and become still
and my mind will be too busy to occupy thoughts of you.
Maybe if I keep moving, my soul will be able to untangle itself
from motivations of dwelling with you...
maybe if I keep in action
I will finally muddle my way through
the hopes, yearnings, delusions, and dreams
and just come to accept
that
there's no way of escaping you
or stopping this friction
our dictions
has created
in the cosmos...
pure kinetic energy.
