embracing the chaotic unlawful

First Entry Today

I wrote this for Cowboy, thinking it would be nice snide birthday poem. Funny part is, the sarcasm would be totally lost on him...and he would have loved it...if only for thr title alone, being the D&D lover he is.

Maybe I'll give it to him...

one day.

~~~~Embracing The Chaotic Unlawful~~~~
Sweet majestic wonder-
looking him in the eyes is truly a blunder
for he will only succeed in pulling you under;
warping your existence
with his nefarious Soul Spell
so that all you see, hear, smell, and touch
becomes connected
to your worship of him.
Only fully alive in the presence of his daughter,
his heart undulates to the laughter
that her small hands waltz across the air.
He is enthralled by her amber ringlet hair
jewel like eyes, and sun soaked skin...
he is a slave to her minutest whim
for indulging his lovely Fairy Goddess is his only sin...
at least in his mind.
For the rest of us, he is a beauteous form of death,
his very existence was the last paradox emptied from Pandora's Box-
his every breath controls the four winds, the heat of his skin controls the tides...
the color of midnight reflects the darkness of his locks,
his broken laughter scattered to create the stars in the heavens-
his presence is so great he even looks down on the sky.
Women are his willing prey
their own love of him making them his victims,
for all that are in awe and in love with him
are in nothing really, but folly,
for his heart and joy belongs only
to The Goddess,
and any other endeavor is
strictly recreational amusement for him.
The fool I be...I dared to love him still...
hoping to prove the poets and prophets false,
only to prove them too true,
and now I am also the Goddess' slave
while being his willing and neglected concubine,
hopelessly polarized and drifting in his consuming orbit-
I can never will to be free
for without his radiance, I will surely only die.
So I heed those who listen to me to beware,
his orbit is full of those who were foolish enough to dare
to gravitate into his magnificence
so to behold his beauty.
Ahhh...to love him or hate him,
praise or berate him,
see the goodness or the evil
in this angel or this devil
to conform within the static reality or let the vulgar run it's course.
He is the alpha and the omega of all things chaotic,
the birth and death of love levitates in his grasp.
For better or for worse,
he is all that I know...
and the world is a more wondrous place
merely because he is in it.
