Euridice's Release
August 14, 2003 8:49 p.m.
Here's one I spilled out today while bored at work. If nothing else, this little sting with asshole is helping me stumble my way back into the literary world that I miss so much. It's not the best...but I like it.
*********************************************************
My beloved Orpheus,
You know well
that your eyes are the secret gateway
into my soul,
that your touch
resembles the ecstasy
only encountered in death,
that your kiss
creates bliss
only rivaled by
the Elysian Fields,
and how when I lay with you
we become one
and the universe quivers
from the passion we emit.
But you, love, are poison.
Treacherous when inhaled
and deadly when imbibed,
you cause destruction
to everything near you and around you-
only succeeding in bringing woe
to those who love and admire you...
bringing woe to me.
I cannot consume you
anymore.
I cannot embrace the chaos
anymore.
I cannot let my love
for you
cause destruction
anymore.
Please, my love,
my husband,
my lover,
my murderer,
my hero...
let me be free of you...
I would rather eternally endure any torture of Hades
then be shackled to your blackened soul
one
more
moment.
Please, give me death,
and let me die in peace.
Please
set
me
free.
